It goes without saying that the US is home to some of the best universities in the world. To be exact, 15 out of 20 best universities and colleges in the whole world are located in the US. So, no wonder why the rate of international students in the US is rising every single year. It is rather simple - studying here can open many doors for you.

Whether you want to be a surgeon, an astronaut or something third, the US education system can get you there without a doubt. So, do not look for universities closest to you, but look for those that are best for you. Luckily, today, going to another city, country or even to another continent to study is easier than ever. Thus, think about your future and consider attending some of the best universities in the US for international students.

1. Princeton University

Princeton University is a private Ivy League institution, and it is without a doubt one of the most popular universities among international students. This is because it combines great education with an affordable price. To be exact, the total annual cost is around $66,150. Moreover, Princeton offers a lot of scholarships and grants to its international students, thus making it easy to enroll. Students here can choose between two bachelor's degrees - a bachelor of science in engineering and a bachelor of arts. And, there are more than 70 different programs to focus on. All international students fit in quite well, as Princeton has some of the best professors in the world who know top studying tips for different learners.

Princeton University is located in New Jersey. While studying, students can choose between living on campus or living independently. Because of that, students from all 50 states and 80 different countries decide to become students here. But, be sure that even though anybody can gain admission, not everybody is accepted. You must really work hard and have a perfect GPA in order to get in. Students who want to go here usually prepare their whole lives in order to get into one of Harvard’s 12 degree-granting schools.

Unlike Princeton University, where you have the ability to live wherever you want, at Harvard, you will have to respect a unique housing system. That is, while you are a freshman, you will have to live in a dormitory in Harvard Yard and eat in Annenberg dining hall. After that, you live in one of 12 houses on campus until you graduate.

3. Columbia University

Columbia University is another Ivy League university in the US. The total annual cost is around $74,199, but like all the other universities mentioned above, Columbia too offers many financial aids regardless of citizenship. What makes it special is that it has the fourth-largest international student population not only in the US but in the whole world. But, be sure that the admission rate is 6%, so you will really have to be the best of the best and work really hard to get in. Moreover, the university offers many areas of study to its students - around 80 to choose from.

Columbia University is located in New York. Once admitted, you will have the possibility of living on campus, or finding your own place to stay and living the American dream. However, be sure that living in the city of New York can be quite expensive, so choosing the first option is more advisable. The student and campus life of Columbia is amazing. You will be able to meet people from all over the world and participate in many events and activities while receiving a top-notch education too.
