Google’s flagship smartphones of this year, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL have already gone through several bugs out of which some of them have been fixed as well. But this doesn’t seem to end anytime soon. The smartphone is now said to face a new bug in relation with call quality and connectivity.

According to Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL users on Google Product forums and Reddit the smartphones are not able to deliver ‘basic’ sound quality. Some are even complaining about the inconsistent microphone performance. Other users say they are experiencing long call connection times and failure to transmit audio to the other party.

“I've owned my Pixel 3 for 4 days. So far about 5 times I've made or received a call, and the person on the other end cannot hear my voice for about the first 5 seconds. Anyone else experiencing this?” complained one of the users on Google Product forum. “I am experiencing the same issue, but just when I am using the speakerphone.” It is also known that the issue prevails even in ‘Safe Mode’.

The issues for now don’t seem to be in relation with a particular carrier or region. Although there doesn’t seem to be a permanent solution to this, some users are saying that disabling Advanced or Enhanced carrier calling features are acting as a temporary solution. Google too is said to have given some replacement of Pixel 3 units.

Google however, has not given any official work on the issue. However, we expect the firm to fix this in one of the monthly updates.

On the other hand, the search giant has released a new ad that recreates the Home Alone movie scenes with actor Macaulay Culkin and Google products. The ad showcases how Google can make your life easier with its smart speaker, Google Home Hub, Google Pixel 3 XL and Google Assistant.
