  1. Make Super Hidden Files/Folders
  2. There's no Magic of extra ordinary activity behind the super hidden files/folders in windows but it is an attribute of file system which is rarely known by normal users. These attributes are made to hide some operating system's file which is not important for normal users but you can use it to HIDE YOUR PERSONAL FILES too.

    Steps to make your files SuperHidden:

    Open Command Promt (By tying CMD in run command) > type attrib +h +s D:\milan.txt. See below screenshot:

    There are two ways to view your SuperHidden Files/Folders:

    • GUI (Graphic User Interface) MODE:
    • Go to Tools (Press Alt if you can't see Tools) > Folder Options > View > Uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) > OK.

    • CLI (Command Line Interface) MODE:
    • Open Command Promt (By tying CMD in run command) > type attrib -h -s D:\milan.txt. See below screenshot:

  3. Secure your PC with SYSKEY (No one can crack)
  4. When talking about windows login password, every one tthere'are many options available. But SYSKEY is one of the most secure way to lock your pc that no one can unlock even after using 3rd party applications. SYSKEY is a process to encrypt security database.

    Process to Enable/Disable SYSKEY:

    Open Run command type syskey, press enter > click on UPDATE button > check Password Startup > enter password and OK. See screenshot below:

    Now everytime you'll get a syskey promt everytime you boot your system. Keep you system and data secure from unwanted persons.



  5. Know the GodMode of your computer
  6. Microsoft Windows Operating System has always been favourite among most of the PC users. The reason is ease of access - User Interface Experience.

    GodMode is one of the most useful twiks for system adminis and geeks. It is a set of administrative and utility tools, control panel settings which is arranged in a single folder for the ease of access.

      How to Activate GodMode?

      Create a Folder > Name it
      GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
      Press Enter and Open it. See screenshot below:

  7. View saved password of FB from browser
  8. This trick is useful if you forgot your saved facebook password in browser. Please see steps below

  9. Use Your Web Browser as a Notepad
  10. Now you don't need to open notepad when using chrome browser. Just type below syntax in browser's url and press enter:

  11. Batch Program Hacks
  12. Why does it make it so dangerous? Simply because this allows a remote attacker to run code on the vulnerable computer and use that code to plant ransomware without any human and local action. This never before seen behavior makes it the perfect tool to attack specific environments or infrastructures, such as servers running a vulnerable version of the Server Message Block (SMB protocol).

  13. Create Password Reset Disk
  14. You know there're many blog posts for - How to reset password without knowing old one? Just imagine you have given your laptop/pc to someone for some instance and that person is aware of changing password without knowing old one. What will happen? You'll find your own pc locked! Isn't it wiered, but don't panic. I'll give you easy solution for this. Microsoft Windows has so many useful utilities to make your computing experience better, the need is to know them properly.

    Steps to Create a Password Reset Disk:

    Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > On the left side Create a Password Reset Disk > Enter Current Password > Proceed > Finish.

    Note: You need a Pen Drive/Floppy Disk while creating a password reset disk.

    Keep this Pen Drive safe and stay cool because you can reset your password anytime even if someone has changed your password. See below screenshot to create a password reset disk:

    How to Reset Password:

    Go to login window by pressing Win + L > Enter a Wrong Password > You'll get a Reset Password Link > Insert your PenDrive (which was used to create a password reset disk) > Choose your PenDrive from dropdown menu > Proceed to Reset Password.

  15. Some Useful Windows Command (CMD)
  16. Windows command promt interface and its commands seems boring at first glance, but it is really interesting and even faster that GUI interface. You'll love its interface once you get familier. Have a look at few important commands:

    1. Save a Command's Output to a File
    2. It is really ipmortant command which allows you to save your output to save as a notepad file.
      For example, you might execute systeminfo > d:\report.txt to save the information provided by the systeminfo command to that file.

    3. Change Attribute of File/Folder (Hide/Unhide)
    4. You might be aware of hidden files/folder, but do you have idea about super hidden/sytem hidden files?
      You can make your files SuperHidden now, For example,
      attrib d:\report.txt +h +s Here +H used to make files hidden and +S used to make files system hidden.
      Again to unhide, do the reverse process attrib d:\report.txt -h -s

    5. Fsutil (file createnew and hardlink)
    6. Fsutil command is created to manage file and filesystem by Microsoft. But you can use it in many different manner. Like if you want to create a blank 20 mb .txt files. Use this command fsutil file createnew d:\fsutil.txt 20000000.

      I found one of the most important fsutil command to create a HardLink. Hardlink is a command under fsutil which allows you to create a backup TXT file for the original file(.txt). Use the below command to create a hardlink:
      fsutil hardlink create d:\backup.txt d:\source.txt. See below screenshot, how to create hardlink:

      Note: When creating hardlink, source file should be created already.

    7. Opens Current Directory in Explorer

  19. Turn your PC into Wi-Fi Hotspot (Witout any software)
  20. You don't need any third-party apps to create a Wi-Fi hotspot to share your PCs internet, you can easily do so from the Command Prompt.

    netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=Hotspotname key=password Once enabled, you can start the Wi-Fi hotspot by entering the command netsh wlan start hostednetwork or stop it by entering the command netsh wlan stop hostednetwork.

    You will also need to share your internet connection to this hotspot for everyone to use. Go to "Network and Sharing" option from the "Control Panel" and then click on "Change adaptor settings" in the left panel.

    Here, right click on the internet connection you are using and click on "Properties". In the properties, go to sharing tab and check the option "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection" to share your internet connection.

    Note: Using Administrator privileges for CMD is must to run this command otherwise it will show an error.
